Invisalign Cost and Payment Options
If you want straighter teeth with clear aligners, the cost of Invisalign depends on how far your teeth need to move and how complex your case is. At the consultation, we take photographs and records of your teeth and bite and decide with you whether aligners or braces suit your case. To talk through your plan, request an appointment or call (201) 729-0900.

What changes the cost of Invisalign
- How far your teeth need to move: The length of treatment depends on how far your teeth have to go, and it varies from person to person.
- How complex your case is: Aligners are most often used for mild to moderate crowding, spacing and bite problems. More involved cases take longer, and more complex problems may need braces or other treatment.
- Whether aligners or braces suit your case: We decide this with you at the consultation, and the two are different treatments on different schedules.
Aligners or braces
Dr. Soo Jin Kim provides both Invisalign and traditional braces in our office, and your consultation decides which one suits your teeth. Braces are often used for more complex movements, such as moving roots, raising or lowering teeth, and closing large spaces. Braces treatment here usually runs 12 to 24 months, with adjustments every four to six weeks, and short-term braces for the front teeth take a few months.
Insurance and paying over time
Many major dental insurance plans are accepted here, and we file the claim on your behalf.
To spread the cost over time, you can use third-party financing from CareCredit or Cherry, and we also accept cash, checks and credit cards. Patients without dental insurance can join our in-house membership plan, and its fee covers preventive visits like exams and cleanings, with a discount on other treatments for members. More detail on each is on the payment options page.
Frequently asked questions
How much does Invisalign cost?
The cost depends on how far your teeth need to move, how complex your case is, and whether aligners or braces suit it. We make that last decision with you at the consultation. You can reach ConfiDental at (201) 729-0900 to talk it through.
Can I use dental insurance here?
Yes. Many major dental insurance plans are accepted here, and our office files the claim for you.
Can I pay for Invisalign over time?
Yes. CareCredit and Cherry both offer third-party financing for treatment at our office, and payment by cash, check or credit card works too.
How long does Invisalign treatment take?
Treatment time varies with how complex your case is. You wear the aligners 22 hours a day, change to a new set every one to two weeks, and come in for a progress visit every six to eight weeks.
Do I need a retainer after Invisalign?
Yes. A retainer holds your teeth in their new positions after the last aligner, and you keep wearing it long after treatment ends, because teeth tend to drift back without one.
