When it comes to oral surgery, sometimes people could get very anxious about it. We don’t do general sedations, however we do like oral sedation if they need to. We will prescribe the day before and then they follow the instructions as we provide them and then on the day of extraction they will come here and we’ll try to set the environment as comfortable as possible.
We do take CBCT or depending on the situation if we need to take CBCT, but most likely we will and we will see it in 3D scans just to make sure that we’re away from the nerve or anything that we can’t see with just regular x-rays and from there we guide the patients and we look at the actually image together and then we’ll discuss you know what they’re seeing. We just kind of talk to them and kind of teach them how to read the x-rays also at the same time and then we we provide the care that they need and then if it needs to come out we take the teeth out and then we’ll graft them if they need to, restore them if they need to, properly trim and plan from moving forward to restore the teeth back into this origin to full function basically.

Dental surgery encompasses several procedures designed to address significant oral issues. We perform these procedures with a focus on your comfort and exceptional results. The prospect of surgery may cause anxiety, but there’s no need to worry. You can receive oral conscious sedation to help you relax throughout your procedure. This safe medication allows you to remain awake but deeply relaxed, with little memory of the treatment afterward.
For precise planning and execution of surgical procedures, we use advanced technology, including digital X-rays and a 3-D scanner. These instruments provide detailed images of your teeth, bones, nerves, and tissues, so your dentist can plan your surgery with precision.
Our oral surgery procedures include:
Tooth Extractions – Damaged or decayed teeth that cannot be saved with restorative procedures are gently removed. Our techniques minimize discomfort and preserve surrounding bone tissue.
Wisdom Teeth Removal – We can extract some third molars that causing pain or threatening the alignment of your other teeth. Early removal helps prevent complications and protects your oral health.
Dental Implant Placement – Titanium posts are surgically placed into your jawbone to serve as artificial tooth roots for replacement teeth. These posts integrate with your bone to provide long-lasting support and a natural feel and function for your new teeth.
Ridge Augmentation – The alveolar ridge bone is rebuilt in areas where tooth loss has caused deterioration. This procedure creates a strong foundation for implants or improves the appearance of your jaw profile.
Bone Grafts – Your dentist adds bone material to areas with insufficient bone density to support implants. This promotes new bone growth and increases the success rate of implant procedures.
Sinus Lifts – Bone is added to the upper jaw in the area of the molars and premolars to raise the sinus floor. This creates adequate space for implant placement.
Gum Grafts – We transfer healthy gum tissue to areas where gums have receded to protect exposed tooth roots. This reduces sensitivity and improves appearance.

Dr. Kim and the entire team is amazing. The office is always clean, the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. My 12 year old daughter likes going to the dentist. Enough said!
If I could leave 20 stars I would. This practice from the front desk to Dr.Kim and everyone in between has been top notch. I have severe anxiety and have a very complex dental situation that has forced me at this time to see a dentist. I shop in the area and saw the dental office and thought the name of it was adorable. I have lost so much confidence with my dental situation, so to see the name “Confidental” (a play on confidence and dental) captured my attention. I then looked up the reviews (5 stars) and dentist bio (brilliant) and decided to call.
From the first phone call, politeness and quickness to get an appointment, I felt good vibes from the get go. It only got better when I had my first visit. My consultation was like no other. Dr.Kim took one hour with me, answered my million questions patiently and suggested different options for my situation. We agreed on treatments and I started my journey the very next day.
Dr.Kim is a true artist. She repaired 2 teeth that have been a cause of my lack of confidence when I have to smile. She put my mouth back together. I have done nothing but smile and speak with high confidence now.
I have 2 more procedures left to do and I can honestly say, I am excited to go back to Dr.Kim. My anxiety feels like it has diminished a little in regards to the dentist thanks to Dr.Kim and her WONDERFUL, polite, non judgemental staff.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Confidental Family Dental with Dr.Kim and her entire staff.
This is by far the best total dental care you can get anywhare. The professional staff starts with Dr. Kim. Dr. Kim is so talented. I have trusted her with many procedures over the years. The dental hygienist is Amanda. Amanda is incredible and always does a perfect job. Dr. Kim and Amanda work so well together and that tranlates into a perfect visit. Thank you to the entire staff for so many perfect visits. Robert D Wood-Ridge NJ
I had an excellent experience at this dentist office, thanks to the outstanding dental hygienist, Amanda. Her professionalism and thoroughness made my visit comfortable and reassuring. I highly recommend her services.
There’s no other office I would trust with my teeth after my experience here. Dr. Kim, Jenny & the entire staff were a breath of fresh air. Not only did they exemplify professionalism but were also extremely friendly and thorough during the entire process. Recently had porcelain veneers done top canine to canine and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Do yourself a favor and book them for any of your dentistry needs. Thank you again to everyone at Confidental!
The best experience I’ve had at a dental office… honestly put off going to the dentist after multiple horrible experiences with rude staff, doctors who were super rough, and crazy long wait times even with appointments. I called ahead and confirmed I had the correct insurance (which reception was very helpful in helping me find) and booked an appointment next business day. I did not have to wait at all to be seen and everyone in the office was extremely friendly and explained everything very well. Dr. Shah was very attentive, explained my treatment plan well, and had great bedside manner. I’ve already recommended this office to multiple friends and family because of the positive experience. Definitely will be going back here for my cleanings twice a year going forward!
Excellent staff. Everyone is so friendly and I always feel like I’m treated with care. I love how thoroughly Dr. Kim answers all my questions. Highly recommend!
