People who’s in sport weightlifting and contact sports, I think it’s important to wear them because it could actually knock your teeth out. So people who’s on contact sports, I do highly recommend to have a mouth guard custom fitted so that way it will protect your teeth when you’re in sports mode. Well, bruxism actually, it actually grinds down your teeth and it could make it very sensitive and also it could trigger your TMJ muscles to be very sore.
Um, and sometimes we don’t even know we’re doing it. So wearing the guards will actually help to prevent the, um, the release of the muscle to, or prevent the pain from occurring and prevent it from the natural dentition from wearing it down to have your teeth for a long time for the longevity of your teeth. So it helps to actually, um, prevent it from wearing down.
And for the sports guard or mouth guard is for the people who’s, um, athletics. And because there’s a lot of contact sports that’s there to prevent it from any accidents and it’s for the longevity of their teeth, it will actually prevent it and protect them while they’re in the sport. So it’s very important to have them.
