Dr. Soo Jin Kim

Dr. Kim earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from New York University College of Dentistry, where her academic excellence earned her membership in the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society. She furthered her training through postgraduate residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Queens Hospital Center. Her educational background also includes a bachelor’s degree from Queens College and a dental laboratory technology degree from New York City College of Technology. She maintains active involvement with the Academy of General Dentistry to stay current with evolving dental practices.

If I could leave 20 stars I would. This practice from the front desk to Dr.Kim and everyone in between has been top notch. I have severe anxiety and have a very complex dental situation that has forced me at this time to see a dentist. I shop in the area and saw the dental office and thought the name of it was adorable. I have lost so much confidence with my dental situation, so to see the name “Confidental” (a play on confidence and dental) captured my attention. I then looked up the reviews (5 stars) and dentist bio (brilliant) and decided to call.
From the first phone call, politeness and quickness to get an appointment, I felt good vibes from the get go. It only got better when I had my first visit. My consultation was like no other. Dr.Kim took one hour with me, answered my million questions patiently and suggested different options for my situation. We agreed on treatments and I started my journey the very next day.
Dr.Kim is a true artist. She repaired 2 teeth that have been a cause of my lack of confidence when I have to smile. She put my mouth back together. I have done nothing but smile and speak with high confidence now.
I have 2 more procedures left to do and I can honestly say, I am excited to go back to Dr.Kim. My anxiety feels like it has diminished a little in regards to the dentist thanks to Dr.Kim and her WONDERFUL, polite, non judgemental staff.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Confidental Family Dental with Dr.Kim and her entire staff.

There’s no other office I would trust with my teeth after my experience here. Dr. Kim, Jenny & the entire staff were a breath of fresh air. Not only did they exemplify professionalism but were also extremely friendly and thorough during the entire process. Recently had porcelain veneers done top canine to canine and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Do yourself a favor and book them for any of your dentistry needs. The best experience I’ve had at a dental office… honestly put off going to the dentist after multiple horrible experiences with rude staff, doctors who were super rough, and crazy long wait times even with appointments. I called ahead and confirmed I had the correct insurance (which reception was very helpful in helping me find) and booked an appointment next business day. I did not have to wait at all to be seen and everyone in the office was extremely friendly and explained everything very well. Dr. Shah was very attentive, explained my treatment plan well, and had great bedside manner. I’ve already recommended this office to multiple friends and family because of the positive experience. Definitely will be going back here for my cleanings twice a year going forward!
