Since 2016, Dr. Kim and the Confidental team have been practicing family and cosmetic dentistry in Carlstadt, NJ. Patients from all surrounding areas visit our friendly full-service dental office, and we enjoy providing our community with exceptional care and customer service.

Dr. Soo Jin Kim
Dr. Soo Jin Kim is experienced in all aspects of general dentistry with an emphasis on aesthetic and preventive care. She is passionate about dentistry and is committed to providing the highest level of dental care for her patients. Dr. Kim aims to provide patients with positive dental experiences in the most gentle, comfortable manner. She believes that every patient has their own unique dental needs and expectations. She is a careful listener and will explain beforehand what treatment is best for that patient making sure the patient understands every step of the treatment along the way.
She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University and was an inductee of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society. She completed postgraduate residency training at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Queens Hospital Center. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree from Queens College and a Dental Laboratory Technology degree from New York City College of Technology. Dr. Kim is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry.
Jenny
Practice Management Associate
Jenny is our friendly and dedicated practice team member from New York. Her passion for dentistry can be seen in every encounter she has with patients and families in the community, inside and outside the dental office. Jenny earned her Bachelor's degree and Post-Bachelor's degree in Pre-Dental, and she has provided dental healthcare as a volunteer in impoverished communities overseas. She believes that connecting with patients, helping them, and giving back to the community as dental professionals is a blessing.
Jenny has been working in the dental field since 2006. For the majority of that time, she has excelled as a clinical assistant, and in present time, she has served her community in a management role. Dedicated to serving the community with honest and personalized care, Jenny and the Confidental team welcome and care for each patient as if they were family.
Jenny aspires to earn her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree so she can one day serve the Carlstadt community alongside her lifelong role model, Dr. Kim.
When Jenny isn't pursuing her education in dentistry or volunteering, she enjoys origami and watching sports.
Amanda
Hygienist
Amanda began her career as a dental hygienist in 2011 when she graduated from Bergen Community College. A North Arlington native, Amanda has been a dental hygienist at our practice since 2011, and she takes pride in helping nervous patients feel more comfortable and confident with their dental care. One of her favorite aspects of dentistry is meeting patients and their families and helping them achieve their best smiles. When Amanda isn’t catching up with patients or polishing their pearly whites, she enjoys exploring the great outdoors with her dog.
Jennifer Cruiz
Hygienist
Jennifer's journey in dentistry began with her role as a dental assistant, where she learned "the ropes" and developed a profound appreciation for the field. That experience ignited her passion for promoting oral health and inspired her to further her education to become a dental hygienist.
As a dental hygienist, her focus is on elevating patient care through preventive measures and thorough cleanings. She takes pride in providing a comfortable atmosphere for her patients, encouraging them to take control of their oral health.
Beyond her professional life, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family and friends, trying new restaurants, and traveling.
Krystal
Dental Assistant
Krystal is our talented dental assistant originally from Paterson, NJ, also known as “Silk City.” Krystal pursued her passion for dentistry in 2017 when she earned her degree from Fortis Institute, and she became a valued part of the Confidental Family and Cosmetic Dentistry team in 2020. As a dental assistant, Krystal assists Dr. Kim with procedures and ensures every patient gets the special attention they deserve. Krystal loves interacting with patients and getting to know them personally. When Krystal isn’t helping patients attain healthier smiles, she enjoys cooking, spending time with family, and watching her son’s baseball games.
I would recommend Confidental to everyone. I recently started bring my daughter here (teen) and she loves it also. Especially during such uncertain times they are very precautious for patient safety and their staff. Everyone is very friendly. I was petrified of the dentist and Dr. Kim and the staff are so gentle.
